Skylines

After 2 years of working in the studio Code Seven released his first full body of work in the year 2021, just before the summer. Quoted from Instagram: ‘’The process took longer then i expected but I\’m happy how the songs turned out. The EP is representing my style in different ways. The first song is called \”Funky\”, a melodic deep house song with some synthwave influences. The second song is the title song of the EP \”Skylines\”. A progressive record that i started to make 3 years ago. The song has been around for a long time and this year I finally finished it. Skylines consists of melodic chords with a retro wave feeling and focus. In the process of creating Skylines I got inspired by the likes of Daft Punk and The Midnight. The third and closing track of the EP is called \”Grace\”. I wanted to close the EP off with a dancefloor banger. Lately I have been listening to a lot of (melodic) techno and I wanted to try it out myself. After writing the melody I processed some heavy kicks and the main idea was created. Grace represents the beginning of something new, a eye-opener for a new horizon. I started writing this song in the beginning of the covid-19 situation and right now we\’re getting slowly back to our normal lives. In the process of creating Grace I wanted to represent the feeling of a moving spiral escaping a total isolation and moving to freedom’’.
